Mr Eric Molale holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Environmental Science) from the University of Botswana and Swaziland, as well as a Master of Sciences (Agricultural Economics) and a Diploma in Statistics from the University of New Mexico State.
 
He started his working career as an Assistant District Officer (Development) in Tsabong in 1981. He then got transferred to Maun as a District Officer (Development), as well as a District Planner for Central Government and also Secretary to the District Development Committee from 1984 to 1988.
 
Mr Molale joined the Ministry of Local Government, Lands and Housing as the Chief Housing Officer in 1988. He went back to work in Tsabong as a District Commissioner 1991. Thereafter, he assumed position as Private Secretary to the Vice President in 1994.
 
He joined the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning as Chief Economist (Rural Development) in 1994 and later took the position as Deputy Coordinator of Rural Development in the ministry in 1996.
 
Mr Molale continued to work in the public service and went back to the Ministry of Local Government, Lands and Housing as Deputy Permanent Secretary in 1996. He took position as Senior Private Secretary to the President in 1998.
 
He then went back to work at the Ministry of Local Government as Permanent Secretary in 2000. Since 2003 till present, he assumes position as Permanent Secretary the President 
Mr Molale has also held appointments as a board member of SNV, BAMB and BNPC. He is now a member of the Minerals Policy Committee, a board of Governors member of CAPAM (Commonwealth) and a board member of Debswana.
