Neo Daniel Moroka joined the family of companies in February as Resident Director and Chief Executive of De Beers Botswana.

Neo has extensive experience in both public and private sector in Botswana. He started his working career in the public service in 1980. In 1984 he joined Barclays Bank and moved up the ranks until he left to work for BP in 1991, first as the General Manager for BP Botswana and then moving to Zambia to take up the post of Managing Director for BP Zambia in 1999. In the same year he was appointed Commercial Director of BP South Africa responsible for BP commercial activities in 13 SADC countries.

Neo then joined the Botswana Government as Minister of Trade and Industry, a role he held until end of 2009.
