Nicky Oppenheimer is Chairman of the De Beers Group. He is also a non-executive director of Anglo American plc. He was educated at Harrow School and Christ Church, Oxford, where he read Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He joined the Anglo American Corporation in 1968, and has been associated with the wider Group ever since then. He is the recipient of the Presidential Order of Honor from the Botswana government, and is an Honorary Fellow of the London Business School. He established the Brenthurst Foundation in 2005 to reflect his Family’s contribution to the debate around strategies and policies for strengthening Africa's economic performance.
