BATHOEN PUPILS STAGE BRILLIANT SHOW

   

ORAPA: Out-going Bathoen House Standard Seven pupils staged a brilliant performance of the famous musical ‘Lion King’ on December 6th. Bathoen House is a Debswana owned primary school in Orapa.

Characterised by sharp dance, acting and singing skills, the pupils exceptionally mimicked the animals on the popular Walt Disney animation, which has clearly become one of the famous movies of all times.

Speaking at the event, the School- Head said the plays of this nature are crucial for any pupils as they elevate educational standards and expand students’ horizons, assisting them identify their potential and talent through arts, drama and music.

“Introducing young people to a range of artistic mediums will help them develop and enhance their own artistic abilities, reduce youth delinquency and destructive behaviour as well as increase youth pride in self and culture” Geoffrey Nkoni- Bathoen Head-teacher.

Nkoni called on all schools in Botswana to produce or groom ‘all rounded children’, where all aspects of potential, talent, learning, development and social awareness are explored to further maximise children’s learning and development.
