HEALTH WRITER IMPRESSED BY JWANENG MINE

   

Andrew Jack, Pharmaceuticals Correspondent for the Financial Times, was visibly impressed by the efforts of Jwaneng Mine in promoting health amongst its employees. Andrew who made a stop at Jwaneng on Tuesday this week, spent time at the Infectious Diseases Care Centre (IDCC) where he met with the Chief Medical Officer of the Jwaneng Mine Hospital Dr. Thato Moumakwa for a presentation on the modus operandi of the Centre. 

Andrew also met with the Tiyo Tibe, Coordinator of Thutano Centre –mine’s community outreach initiative. The meeting was held to discuss issues relating to the Centre and the efforts embarked on by the Centre to address HIV/AIDS related challenges in the Jwaneng Township.

“I am impressed that Jwaneng Mine has done a lot in erecting these structures that are now serving employees as well as the community. This is really commendable,” commented Andrew.

In addition to visiting the two Centres’, he was taken to the Jwaneng Mine pit for familiarisation on core business.
