ORAPA: The Assistant General Manager of Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines Mr Matome Malema has commended employees of the mines for the continued dedication, loyalty and commitment they have shown towards the growth of the mines over the years.
Speaking at a ceremony in honour of 14 employees who have worked for the mines over the past ten years, Mr Malema said it is imperative that all employees be prudent and not reckless in whatever they do at work, in order for Debswana to reach its Business Strategy and beyond.
He implored on all employees of Debswana to constantly take up challenges within their work environment, aimed at their individual growth as well as that of the company as a whole.
Mr Malema said it is imperative that solid relationships are built and maintained between employees and management of any organisation, saying Debswana’s win in this regard is evident in the loyalty its employees continue to show through their long service with the company.
He added that good managers and leaders are those who keep such relations with their average folk employees, listening to their ideas and advice, as well as respecting them.
