PALAPYE: A feasibility study on the surface and underground structure of the Morupule Colliery mine is underway. Morupule’s Section Manager David Kgoboko was quoted as saying that the study is looking at ways to increase the mines production levels to cater for the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) expansion project.
“Investigations on the surface level expansion as well as the underground expansion layout are continuing. This study will further indicate the long term planning of the Morupule Mine with expectations of supplying BPC with enough coal for the projected requirement,” he shared.
