JWANENG, 10/07/2007: Jwaneng Mine Hospital made history when it became the first hospital in Botswana to be accredited by COHSASA. The Council of Council of Health Services Accreditation of Southern Africa is one of five Hospital accrediting bodies in the world, and this accreditation ranks Jwaneng Mine Hospital among the elite.
Speaking at a function to celebrate the accreditation, Jwaneng Mine Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr Thato Moumakwa said the Hospital was now “part of a prestigious few”. He pointed out of 28 service elements, the Hospital scored over 90% for over 23 elements. With an average of 94%, Jwaneng Mine Hospital can boast of world class standards.
