Jwaneng community bid Nonofo Motlhabane farewell last week in an emotional send off and handed over a whooping P90 000 to pay for his  kidney transplant in Pakistan. The Bulletin, a Jwaneng Mine publication recently ran a story on Motlhabane’s plight and through an interview in the newsletter, Motlhabane appealed for financial assistance.

Within hours people were already calling to inquire how they could help. A fund was established, and within a month P90 000 was raised. In a tribute to the Jwaneng community, Motlhabane, who works for Jwaneng Mine said that without the help of the people he would have been unable to accumulate enough money to pay for his trip and medical bills. Motlhabane also expressed gratitude to Jwaneng Mine for the P25 000 contribution which was handed over by Senior Human Resources Manager Gaone Macholo.
