Debswana operates some of the richest diamond mines in the world. Its flagship Jwaneng Mine is the world's leading producer of diamonds by value and Orapa Mine is the world's largest running mine by volume.

Production Figures

In 2005, Debswana Mines produced a total of 31.9 million carats.

In 2006, the company broke its own diamond production record by producing 34.3 million carats. In 2005, Debswana had produced 31.9 million carats, which is a good total revenue of P15.8 billion, an increase on the P11.720 billion revenue produced in 2004. 

Tons treated in 2006 by the mines were 33.7 million 2005, an improvement on the 31.2 million tons treated in 2005, leading to the recovery of 31.9 million carats. In 2004, the company recovered a total of 31.1 million carats.

In 2006 Jwaneng Mine recovered 15.6 million carats; Orapa Mine recovered 17.3 million carats; Letlhakane Mine recovered 1.089 million carats; and Damtshaa Mine, 228 000 carats.
