SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Supply Chain Management (SCM) plays an important role of facilitating the flow of goods and services in Debswana.

Debswana’s SCM consists of about 180 people and makes up about 3% of Debswana’s total workforce but impacts approximately 46% of all costs.

The new Supply Chain Management building is situated along the road to Sir Seretse Khama International Airport.

The Procurement spend of BWP1.8 Billion was about 15% of total sales in 2005.

Debswana Supply Chain has recently embarked on an optimisation Project (Project Motswedi) which will amongst other things deliver cost savings and organisational capability. There will be further communication on the project on this website.
