While participating in the 2024 Women in Mining Conference’s panel discussion focused on Citizen Empowerment as a Vehicle for Growth of Women in Business this morning, Debswana CEEP’s Thato Segadimo highlighted that the Debswana CEEP agenda includes intentional and focused efforts towards the enablement of women-owned citizen companies, referencing a list of items reserved specifically for procurement from women-owned citizen companies.
Also participating in the panel was Sheri Gareikitse, CEO of Tatsand, a local machine parts and components manufacturing company which is a beneficiary of CEEP and Tokalafa. She greatly appreciated Debswana’s CEEP programme by boldly stating, “I am what I am because of Debswana and Tokafala.”
