Debswana Diamond Company recently supported the Paralympic athletes to participate at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris where two athletes Edwin Masuge reached their personal bests of 49.38 in men’s 400 m T13 and Gloria Majaga with 59.72 in women’s 400 m T13.
Upon their return, Debswana in partnership with Paralympics Society of Botswana (PASOBO) hosted a welcome ceremony where PASOBO president Tshepho Mafereka commended the athletes for their excellence beyond their disabilities, sharing positive experiences from the trip, including excursions such as boat rides and sightseeing in Paris. Debswana’s Head of Corporate Services and Company Secretary Mr. Bonny Thebenyane emphasized the importance of corporate support for sporting talent.
Athletes Edwin Masuge and Gloria Majaga expressed gratitude for Debswanaβs support, with Masuge optimistic about improved performance in 2028.
