Jwaneng Mine recently held the Diamond Dream Academic Awards to honor 87 outstanding students, bringing together students, teachers, and local leaders to highlight the importance of education for community development.
Acting General Manager, Mr. Goitseone Gadifele, pointed out education as key to a prosperous future. Laone Abigail Chilliboy, the Best Overall student, encouraged her peers to pursue success and thanked her teachers for their support. Established in 2017, the DDAA aims to enhance academic performance in local schools, currently supporting 25 primary and 4 junior secondary schools.
The awards ceremony attracted a diverse audience and was especially significant after being paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with BWP 517 000 allocated to award recipients, demonstrating the commitment to educational excellence and community development.
