LETLHAKANE AND DAMTSHAA MINES EMPLOYEES DONATE TO MALATSWAE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Debswana’s Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines (LDM) employees have recently donated essential items worth P50,000 to Malatswae Primary School through their Employee Volunteerism initiative. The donation, including entertainment equipment, waste bins, cleaning supplies, and blankets, aims to enhance hygiene, reduce dropout rates, and improve the learning environment.

LDM Senior Manager, Maruping Mogae, highlighted that this effort is part of Debswana’s ongoing community support. Malatswae village has previously benefited from similar initiatives, including poultry projects, clinic equipment, and educational supplies. The donation follows a needs assessment to address key challenges, with entertainment equipment aimed at keeping students engaged and waste bins promoting hygiene in hostels.

School Head, Tebogo Rapuleng, expressed gratitude, stating the donations would significantly enhance learners’ experiences. Malatswae Councilor Hon. Antony Odirile praised Debswana employees’ generosity and urged students to protect the donated items.
