Jwaneng Mine Health Services, in partnership with Broad Horizon Group, recently organized the “Walk for a Great Cause 2025” charity walk to demonstrate community solidarity and make a positive social impact. The initiative supported 24 vulnerable students and elderly individuals with special needs by providing them with school supplies, hygiene packs, bedding, and weekly physiotherapy.
Kabelo Mosebi, speaking on behalf of Broad Horizon Group, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the collaborative effort that contributed to the event’s success. He stated, “The heart of our community is greater than any challenge we may encounter,” highlighting the unifying spirit of the event, which was rooted in compassion and shared responsibility.
Mosebi expressed his gratitude for the support received from various sponsors and stakeholders. These include Jwaneng Mine Hospital Wellness Department, Bajanala SC, Ouma Construction, Jwaneng Saccos, Hydrate, Mega Mining, Galaxy Sports Shop, Racquets Gym, Pula Snacks, Beef Kosher, Rinjex, Pinnacle Geomatics, Debonnaires, Jwaneng Netball, Dee’s Nail Bar, Wusa, Shumba Projects, and Motion Lab. He also recognized the contributions of local authorities and volunteers.
The partnership demonstrates Debswana’s commitment to creating a significant social impact through education, health, and community well-being. It is part of a larger initiative to improve lives while extracting Botswana’s natural diamonds.
