The 18th edition of the Botswana Consumer Fair kicked off at Fairgrounds in Gaborone. The grand opening was graced by the Minister of Justice Correctional Services and Member of Parliament for Gaborone South, Honourable Nelson Ramaotwana, Business Botswana President Mr. Neo Nwako who was also the keynote speaker, Fairground Holdings Chief Executive Officer Ms. Gorata Gabaraane and other dignitaries.
The dignitaries visited the Debswana Traders Hub where they interacted with the small enterprises supported by Debswana in the communities of influence. From Jwaneng area, the exhibiting entities include a grouping under the name, ‘Together Creating Opportunities’ sponsored under our CEEP & Stanbic SMME Hub partnership, ‘Real Enterprises Real Growth’ supported under our Tokafala Programme and ‘Crafting Community Crafting Excellence’, who are a group of enterprises supported under our Corporate Social Investment. From Boteti area, House of Flames is showcasing candle manufacturing and products, while Chak Tek Fam and Eve Textiles are showcasing textile products.
