ORE PROCESSING TEAM SUPPORTS EDUCATION WITH BOOK DONATION TO MMADIKOLA PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Ore Processing team from Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM) recently reaffirmed their commitment to community development and education by donating 109 revision books for Standard 5 to 7 pupils at Mmadikola Primary School. Valued at P17,800.00, the donation was made possible through voluntary contributions from Ore Processing employees and is aimed at complementing the government’s efforts to enhance the quality of education.

Delivering the keynote address, OLDM Plant Manager Olefile Ramogotsi expressed heartfelt appreciation for his team’s generosity. He noted that the revision books would undoubtedly contribute to improved academic performance and have a lasting positive impact on education in Mmadikola village. Ramogotsi also emphasized the vital role of parental involvement in children’s academic success, encouraging parents to remain engaged and supportive.

He urged educators to sustain their commitment to delivering high-quality education, which he described as essential to empowering learners to participate meaningfully in the economic, cultural, and political spheres of society. Students were also encouraged to aim for academic excellence in all subjects.

Representing the Ministry of Education, Boteti Sub-Region Education Officer Larona Kgosipaula applauded the initiative, highlighting the transformative power of education. She urged the community to value and support education, expressing gratitude to Debswana for its continued investment in educational development.
